Cernobbio boasts one of Italy's most famous villas, Villa D'Este. The villa was built in 1568 as the summer residence of Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio and was designed by the famous architect Pellegrino Tibaldi. Later, in 1873, the villa was transformed into the luxurious Grand Hotel Villa d'Este, maintaining the elegance, charm and splendor that today attracts important people, politicians, bankers and businessmen. Precious works of art are still housed there.

From Cernobbio starts the Via dei Monti Lariani, a path for hikers fully equipped with various signs. From the village you can reach Mount Bisbino, on the top of which there is a sanctuary dating back to 1500. After the village of Rovenna, at an altitude of 600 meters there is the Buco delle Volpe, a cave with underground waters.
